About Us

Elks Lodge building with a large parking lot and greenery. — Elks Lodge Festus-Crystal City #1721
Elks Lodge building with a large parking lot and greenery.

Pull off onto Elks Club Drive in Festus and you immediately sense this is not your average fraternal hall. Travelers passing through on their way to St. Louis have called it one of the finest Elks Lodges they have ever walked into, and members who have visited dozens of lodges across the country agree. The building itself commands attention, but it is what happens inside that earns a 4.7-star rating from more than 260 people.

Every summer, kids and teenagers from the Festus-Crystal City area show up on the grounds to learn free archery lessons, a program that costs families nothing and gives young people a skill, a focus, and a reason to put down their phones. That is the Elks way: find a real community need and fill it without fanfare. Lodge #1721 has been doing exactly that since its charter, running trivia nights, hosting events that draw crowds from across Jefferson County, and keeping the doors open for members who want a place to belong.

For RV travelers, the lodge offers three full-hookup spots with power and water, making it a genuine destination stop between the Ozarks and the Arch. Good people, a well-built hall, and a community that actually shows up for each other. That combination is rarer than it should be.

What We Offer

Lodge #1721 is more than a meeting room with folding chairs. Members gather for regular lodge meetings, social events, and seasonal programs that rotate throughout the year. Trivia nights draw competitive crowds, and the bar and lounge give members a comfortable place to unwind after a long week.

The youth archery program runs each summer at no cost to participating families, open to kids and teenagers in the area. Community fundraising, charitable giving tied to the Elks National Foundation, and local scholarship opportunities round out the lodge's service calendar. The RV parking area accommodates traveling Elks members with three powered and water-connected sites, a rare and genuinely useful amenity. Membership in BPOE #1721 opens the door to all of it.

"I chose this lodge because of it's location to St Louis and wow what a lodge. As I travel I'm pleasantly astounded at what good people the Elks are! There are 3 RV spots here with power, water and dump. It's a fun entrance, it just looks a little tricky and your in the parking lot. Past the pavilion on the right the spots are straight ahead. You have to back in but there plenty of maneuvering room. We didn't' get to see a lot of the route in St Louis, after leaving the lodge, we parked at the Casino Queen and took a train into town for some of the best BBQ I've had. We then visited the Cahokia Mounds. What I love about RV travel with the Elks (besides the people), is the lodges are in such interesting places for adventure!"

"Held a Trivia Night fundraiser in their Reception Hall for Spirit Strides (equine therapy center in Dittmer). Everyone at the Elks was so friendly and easy to work with. Very clean inside and all the equipment seemed to work fine. Nice tables and chairs held 8 team players at each table. 👍🏼"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
